An attempt at painting without any lines. I intended on doing the face last, but I got tired and wanted to stop.

In response to this week's drawing prompt: Instead of drawing my house, I drew the house from the movie Knives Out. The house acts almost as a character in the movie, setting the stage for one of the best murder/mystery films I've ever seen.

My artwork is varied in subject matter,in medium.sometimes it takes a lot out of me,other times it seems to create itself,but being an artist is who I am.

Here's the second pumpkin I carved (I did find the sketch, so I posted that in there too). Both carvings were really fun and very time consuming. I'm usually not good with 3D models or sculptures, but carving pumpkins seems to work out.

So this painting began as a simple project and ended up for sale at a coffee shop. I found out recently it actually sold, making it the first official painting I've sold.

Thinking about the link between what we feel we are worth and the direction and effort we put into things.

I adore Jason Momoa as do so many others. I'm a superhero nut so I can't wait for Aquaman 2 to come out.

One day on the way home from my Nana's house, I noticed that the sunset showed every color of the rainbow. It reminded me of God's promise to Noah after the great flood. As I began to draw the scene I thought about how that promise just fills the world with His love and mercy. Anyway, that was the idea for the title.

I always have a more muted color palette in mind and then the painting ends up being very colorful. Trying out Arteza gouache. I really like it :)

Got some pastel pencils as a gift. Having fin trying to figure out how to use them. This was from a photo of the WA coast.

I initially wanted to draw a mandala but after outlining the big circles, I thought "why not add some texture?" and there you go. Experimenting with different shapes and shades always pays off.

Concept idea for an upcoming canvas, but I’m not sure if it’ll stay like this. My days have had me wondering why certain problems exist, how we could solve them and how we can prevent in the future. This particular work will be focused on racism, and I’m very excited about the amount of research I want to do. I’ve been very angry and feeling powerless lately about this subject, and I’ll hope I’ll feel more useful after this project

Fifth Sorrowful Mystery: The crucifixion. I made the water and blood appear sorta as when Jesus appeared in the Divine Mercy devotion. Indeed a great act of mercy, his head is leaning towards the Good Thief, St. Dismas, to show his mecy towards him, the other thief refused (Gesmas). We also have St. John the Apostle, St. Mary Magdeline, Our Blessed Mother and St. Longinus, the roman soldier who pierced Jesus' heart with the Holy Lance. St. Longinus was healed spiritually the water and blood that poured forth by this act and believed, proclaiming Jesus to truly be the Son of God. "And when they came to the place which is called The Skull, there they crucified him, and the criminals, one on the right and one on the left. And Jesus said, 'Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do' ...It was now about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour, while the sun's light failed; and the curtain of the temple was torn in two. Then Jesus, crying with a loud voice, said, 'Father, into thy hands I commit my spirit!' And having said this he breathed his last" (Lk 23:33-46). Testing out a few new acrylic colours

Dream, a work for me, by me. Lately I had to endure some feelings of loneliness, the feeling of being powerless and just caught up in a system that is colliding with how I am wired. When it would get a bit much, when I felt I needed a small break, I would just go outside alone, get some of my favourite music going, I would enjoy the view and when I would come back, being grateful to be alive and what I do have in life, because we tend to forget that too often.

Watercolor - not sure about the background but it was fun trying some different layers

These paintings are all about 2 x 3 inches, done in watercolor.

This little kitty took me about 1h-1.5h and was a nice break from the big drawing I'm working on right now ♡
