Day 2 of Inktober (I'm hoping to do this every day this year). A quick sketch in a clearer mindset than last night. Not sure why I named him Larry, but it seemed fitting. Here's to the fact that solving a physics problem on the first try legitimately made me jump out of my chair in excitement.
The blue whale (Balaenoptera musculus) is a marine mammal belonging to the baleen whale suborder Mysticeti. Reaching a maximum confirmed length of 29.9 meters (98 feet) and weight of 173 tonnes (190 tons), it is the largest animal known to have ever existed. Whisp, day 2 of inktober. Done with my TWSB Eco fountain pen with an extra fine nib. I think I like this approach better than yesterday's. I like the fine cross-hatching.
Mig looks up and sees smoke coming from a distance.
This is part of a sequence inspired by @moonchildillustrations and her #moontoberweekends prompts (this one is apple!). This was fun, I want to start incorporating more animation/ sequences on what I create. I got inspired by my mother, when she was little she was scared of eating seeds because she thought they would grow out of her ears. With that in mind, have a great October!
A Cloud, a Tree, a Star. Illustration of St. Brendan (Naomh Breandain in Irish) for Tolkien's poem, Imram (https://englewoodreview.org/poem-the-death-of-st-brendan-j-r-r-tolkien/).
This was a commission for a Magic The Gathering Goblin token. A goblin riding a squirrel, wielding a spoon and wearing a bucket for a helmet. He may or may not actually be dunk in a tavern getting a bit too into a story he is telling.
Took the opportunity to use the prompt to do an illustration for a personal project. A key describing the symbols would be super long here, but the curious can see them listed at https://inkpaperstring.com/lunar-houses/
