Pen and colored pencil.

As usual I struggled to get a true likeness, but that notwithstanding, I was still pleased with the result. HB, 5B and 9B graphite pencils on smooth cartridge drawing paper, size A3.

This started as a pencil drawing (see the 2nd image) that I scanned and put into Photoshop. I tried various filters including: Smudge, Ink Outline, some Splatter, changed the Exposure and added a Sepia Photo Filter. After a couple of hours of playing (I’m not very knowledgeable about digital possibilities and just use trial and error) I ended up with a dramatic image with which I am quite happy. The reference was a magazine advertisement.

Bringing the inner peace with sketch. Nearly did after an year from my last art work. In a complete learning phase. Critics are highly welcomed and appreciations too.

Colored pencils are my usual way to add color.

I took over as organizer of a Ladies Wine & Design group. Recently, I attended a grand opening of a co-working space, alone. I received some “compliments” that I’m not sure were compliments. To quote Chris Griffin: “I’m so awkward!?!”

(2B pencil on an A7 page) This is one of eight images I used in a small booklet I made about "The Little Black Book" and the contacts and comments people would write in such address books. This one is of a pirate. Others include a superhero, an alien, a witch, an angel, and a cat. This was a quick little painting/drawing in my sketchbook I did after seeing a friend’s photo on Instagram.

This is part of a sequence inspired by @moonchildillustrations and her #moontoberweekends prompts (this one is apple!). This was fun, I want to start incorporating more animation/ sequences on what I create. I got inspired by my mother, when she was little she was scared of eating seeds because she thought they would grow out of her ears. With that in mind, have a great October!
