Found a shady spot to sketch a little street in our beautiful city of San Francisco. I have been surprised to learn how much fun vehicles are to draw. My four year old loves them.

A Civics class arm doodle, a fitting place for a tattoo design. Today was the wrong day to wear a white long sleeve though. This weekend was interesting...good, bad, and very personal. It's currently 8th period though, and here's to the fact that I get to end my day in art.

I rarely do pieces with a full color background, landscapes and all. But I really enjoyed doing this piece. It shows a place and character from my novel project "The Hidden Kingdoms". Drawn in pencil, then scanned and colored digitally.

Bic4 Ballpoint Pen, Sanrio Novelty 10 Colour Ballpoint Pen on Archival 8.5" x 11" paper. A breakdown of the Bic4 pen and No-name 10 colour pen layering that I’ve used. Drawing in a single direction instead of using back-and-forth movement alleviates some of the blotching that happens when using ballpoint pens. The back-and-forth method usually deposits the gunk that builds up on the tip of the ballpoint, smearing them in unexpected and unfortunate places on the drawing. When using the back-and-forth method, I usually have a napkin handy in order to clean the tip of the pen. Model: Meadhbh (Maeve)

Sketching at the mall on a smoky day

Finally started back on a regular sketch schedule. Once a week on Thursdays, and I really look forward to it. I tried to tone down the orange marker with brown ink, but no luck. It really was a bright and sunny fence, though.

Mechanical Flying Pet is an Adobe doodle. I used mostly the trace and fill from a watercolor pen and ink drawing that I placed in Adobe Illustrator.

This will be a non-profit high quality free to download Samurai Jack fan game based on Episode XXXI: Jack and the Scarab . that will take place in it's own continuity separate from SJ's with no mention or appearance of Jack, Aku, or any other characters except the ones from the episode. The characters don't exist in this adaption. It will be it's own self contained story. The story is that the Minion of Set who is the protagonist was once a human Egyptian prince who was kidnapped by worshippers of Set and given him to their god along with other children, a dark ritual commenced where they were transformed into his strongest minions to wreak chaos and destruction upon Egypt. The protagonist regains his human mind after fatally injuring the pharaoh who was his father but the pharaoh has completed a ritual to imprison him and the other minions in a tomb where they'll stay forever. He vows vengeance upon Set and he awaits the day that somebody frees them from their prison so he can carry it out.

Superstitions: Nightmare The 'nightmare' was originally believed to be a huge spirit which settled on people while they slept and gave them a feeling of being stifled - and in Europe an old preventative for this was to place a knife or something similar at the end of the bed, as it was well known that the denizens of darkness feared iron and steel.

Tried to place some walls, trees, characters and further obstacles on a scene.

decided to take a day and go back to my roots, the reason i started drawing in the first place , SPIDER-MAN. Don't take any of it serious, I'm just screwing around here . Never take anyone's art super serious, in fact, that makes everyone's life harder and more awkward . so,,,, yeah, peace

I took inspiration from a group of artists who created a similar image but I decided to place my own spin on it by having henna like designs across the hands.

So busy and overwhelmed lately. I think this is the first time I've gotten to draw in a few weeks. The rattlesnake plant and funny bird plant nanny in our den. I am really missing being in a weekly art class. Have you found any good online ones?

Now! It's the Final Mystery! The Coronation of the Blessed Virgin Mary! Each person of the Most Holy Trinity is crowning her and since doves don't have hands, I drew the Holy Spirit in humanoid form. :) The Eternal Father is in green because we often think about how he created all of Creation (as green is like a natury color ya know). Jesus in the Red of the Redemption and the Holy Spirit with the Brilliant White of Sanctification. Our Lady in her blue of Wisdom and Grace having the crown placed on her head. The crown has the Cross and M of mary like on the Miraculous Medal. ^_^ My Rosary pictures are complete! Wooo! :D Our Lady, Queen of the Divine Will, pray for us! Fiat. This is number 8, out of 9 illustraitions. This illustration portrays Jesus after he dies on the cross. I t is my opinion that Mel Gibson’s portrayal of the brutality the Roman soldier inflicted on the body of Jesus, through the beatings and the 39 lashes with the cat of nine tails. This event was never visually captured in arts, until he made his movie The Passion of the Christ. Many don’t know what a cat of nine tales is, Roman style. A cat of nine tails are nine leather strap that are woven together at the handle. Each strap is laced with bone and other sharp objects. With each lash, flesh would be ripped from the victim’s body. Most of the illustration I have seen of the crucifixion of Jesus where quite sterile. They fail to illustrate the brutality. Their image of Jesus looks more like an under wear modal doing a photo shoot fore GQ magazine, Then the savor having the wrath of God being pored on his body for the payment of our sins. In this painting, I am place my viewer in the soldiers shoes, who just witnessed Jesus committing His spirit into God’s hands. Fifth Sorrowful Mystery: The crucifixion. I made the water and blood appear sorta as when Jesus appeared in the Divine Mercy devotion. Indeed a great act of mercy, his head is leaning towards the Good Thief, St. Dismas, to show his mecy towards him, the other thief refused (Gesmas). We also have St. John the Apostle, St. Mary Magdeline, Our Blessed Mother and St. Longinus, the roman soldier who pierced Jesus' heart with the Holy Lance. St. Longinus was healed spiritually the water and blood that poured forth by this act and believed, proclaiming Jesus to truly be the Son of God. "And when they came to the place which is called The Skull, there they crucified him, and the criminals, one on the right and one on the left. And Jesus said, 'Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do' ...It was now about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour, while the sun's light failed; and the curtain of the temple was torn in two. Then Jesus, crying with a loud voice, said, 'Father, into thy hands I commit my spirit!' And having said this he breathed his last" (Lk 23:33-46). "'Christ died for our sins in accordance with the scriptures' (1 Cor 15:3)" (CCC, 619). Fourth Sorrowful Mystery: The carrying of the cross. So I basically have 5 stations of the cross combined into one. The carrying of the cross (2nd station), When he sees our Blessed Mother (4), Simon of Cyrene forced to help (5), St. Veronica wipes his face (6), he meets the women (8). In between these are the 3 times he fell, the first station of his condemation and then the striping before the final mystery of the Rosary. "And they compelled a passer-by, Simon of Cyrene, who was coming in from the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to carry his cross. And they brought him to the place called Golgotha (which means the place of a skull)" (Mk 15:21-22). "By accepting in his human will that the Father's will be done, he accepts his death as redemptive, for 'he himself bore our sins in his body on the tree' (1 Pt 2:24)" (CCC, 612). Our Father, 10 Hail Marys (contemplating the mystery), Glory be to the Father.
