I took an hour or two and drew some owls while watching the 7th Harry Potter movie. My adventures in Florida continue. While my husband recovers from Lyme Disease, we head on over to Universal Studios for Harry Potter time. Then we go to a skeleton museum and Ripley's Believe it or Not.
I didn't know numbats are a thing! Came across this amazing little endangered marsupial when I was trying to decide which N animal to paint. They eat only termites (hence the recipes ;)). Part of a series where I'm painting animals in different styles. Today's was inspired by the art of Beatrix Potter. Digital watercolor, pointed pen, and colored pencil.
Love dahlias, not just because they are so ornate, but also because they bloom so very late. The tuberous begonias and potted dahlias are still in full bloom at the start of November, how cool is THAT? (For the northern hemisphere and 47th parallel, no less!) This is a stylized drawing in colored pencils.
I haven't had time to draw in a long time because of school and other personal projects, but I recently finished this doodle. There's a color version of it that I'll upload tomorrow.
Here we have some very fancy European history folks, a creature that might be a dummy, and Harry Potter as a nervous waiter who can't remember if you got diet or regular soda. Because, let's face it, Harry was never THAT good at magic.
