Somewhat right! Also, new Washi tape time :-)
Quick Alice in Wonderland sketch outlined in pen and shaded with markers.
Meanwhile, in a shark infested alternate reality...
My dietary preferences/inclinations in a nutshell, as the title implies!
Shark time again. :-)
Moon and whale combo time!
Another day? Another drawing, of course. :-)
Had to find a way to distract myself from current affairs right now... not going to lie.
Tidbits of things overheard in the pub earlier this week when I was short of inspiration = this.
This illustration is for those with a busy mind. Thought I’d try this one to try drawing a brain for the first time
Yesterday’s Magnetic Fields gig and current affairs fuelled the flames for this one, as did pink dolphins.
My girlfriend's words inspired this one, for which I’m forever grateful! :-P :-D
My average 8-9 hour slumber in a nutshell! It's a miracle I function, quite honestly.
Spooky whale time! And a touch of Mark Lanegan flavoured listening material also...
Day job blues... relatable?
Time and space and wizarding things.
Back at it...
New Washi tape time!
Named after a malapropism of my doing, one that makes my girlfriend snigger like mad it seems. :-P
A spot of Henri Cartier-Bresson’s wisdom always gets me by... :-)
Getting by, as per usual...
A great deal of upheaval in my personal life, including making steps to better my mental health as well as reflecting on changes in my work life (potentially) and also my living situation, have dominated my headspace as of late.
Long story short, Buddha reminding us all to still any madness in life got me to work here as did the obvious itch to get some drawing done!
Everyday with Aspergers is a storm of overwhelm - some good, some bad, and some painful. This was an "intuitive" painting with tons of layers, and no preplanning (what?!). I used acrylic paints, post markers, and pencils - I think it shows the exhaustion and overstimulation really well.
It was a really slow day at work, so slow that I had enough time to draw this on a sticky note with little to no interruptions. This was also inspired by a curated gallery on here called "Fun with Fungi".
A handful of Brit flicks have been showing up on Disney+ lately, and one of them I watched recently had Luke Perry of all folks in it... the film in question is called ‘The Beat Beneath My Feet’ in case you’re curious.
In all seriousness though, British films with American actors in them as a lead/central character will forever and always fascinate me, much like Luke Perry’s birth name did! Rest well good sir and thanks for everything.
A bit of art therapy from this time last week after an overheated and, at times, shit-tacular day at work = the best kind of therapy.
"A terrible nightmare follows, where I'm lying at the bottom of a deep grave, and every dead person I know by name comes by and throws a shovel full of ashes on me. It's quite a long dream, considering the list of people, and the deeper I'm buried, the harder it is to breathe. I try to call out, begging them to stop, but the ashes fill my mouth and nose and I can't make any sound. Still, the shovel scrapes on and on and on..." -Mockingjay
3d drawing is a special kid of mine. I never intended to develop it but did think about it on the side. I can harness it better than a full 2d line layout, weird fact. Here is a dog's huge brick of a nose, seen from a little top-down and front view. No character was intended to be designed behind it, I just use dog noses as figures for sketch practice.
July 6, 2022. "Kneeling". drawn inside sketchbook, colored digitally
Yet more Washi tape has been acquired!
