Working on inking this sketch today. I have so many sketches from finished projects, I figured they'd make good practice to refine my line work. I'm also recording another time lapse video showing this process

My first try at dip pen art. Found that it's cheap and there's less of an environmental burden considering disposable fine liners.

Français : L’Appropriationnisme ou le « Remake » est un concept simple. En effet, il suffit de reprendre le travail d’un artiste et signer la nouvelle production de son nom. Il ne s’agit, en aucun cas, de copier l’œuvre comme pourrait le faire un faussaire. Il ne s’agit pas non plus de plagier l’œuvre. Dans cette série, j’ai voulu revisiter des œuvres célèbres en utilisant ma technique graphique de l’éloge de l’approximation mettant en évidence la problématique de la défaillance et de la mémoire vaporeuse. It is not a question of copying the work as a forger could do. It is not a question of plagiarizing the work. As far as I'm concerned, I use the famous work of a recognized artist. By reusing a pre-existing and famous original work, condition sine qua non, I propose to pay tribute. It is by no means a lack of inspiration especially when we now know that: "art is born of art and not of nature": Ernst Gombrich. The wind stopped lowing. The water calmed down gradually. The sun was sparkling upon it. It was the last few days of spring.

I had to try charcoal again. Filled some squares, did some gradients, drew some trees. Then I just doodled ;) *shruh*

It's been some time since last I draw. So any advise (or harsh critics) would be welcome.

I participated in a 48 hour plein air painting festival where we choose a location and have 48 to complete the painting. I chose to paint this pond with a rock waterfall on Drake University Campus

Oh how I miss using watercolour again! Been awhile since the last time I used this medium because now I draw with digital technique more often than the traditional ones.

Prize for winning the Game of Thrones "Death pool" we had going at our infectious disease lab. A biohazard throne made of Erlenmeyer flasks and graduated cylinders - made for a cloner :)
