Autumn inspired photo reference study. I study a lot of photo references to learn how to shade and highlight the human face.

Inspired by the name Aces + eights I made a little bit of a western dress.

Here's a traditional art sketch card, produced on a 4 X 5 inch blank licensed card. The cut lines are set at 2.5 X 2.3 standard trading card size. Artwork is Copic marker and Prismacolor colored pencil. This card was created as a random insert for the 2018 Rittenhouse Archives Star Trek Captains collection Card series. This was for a Kinokuniya tote bag contest but it was inspired by a whole host of things. I have included some of my favorite book characters in the doodle as well as some folklores from Japan and China. Can you recognize them and the book characters?

Se acercó al objeto de su curiosidad y se encontró con una pequeña flor. Una flor que no había visto nunca antes. Con un color raro que no conocía. No era del azul del cielo ni del blanco de las estrellas ni del verde que tanto conocía de las copas de los arboles. Era de un color entre el suelo y el cielo. Un morado vivo que rompía con todo lo que se encontraba a su alrededor. Una flor que hizo que todos los otros colores se volvieran pequeños en un instante a la vista de Zaya. No se atrevió a tocarla, por miedo a hacerle daño, o a que se rompiese (...)

We Puppetapostles, we keep track of what our Lord Puppet is doing, we study each of his movements, each his word is recorded and subjected to philosophical analysis. And always, again, over and over again, our conviction is strengthened every time: He is the God of eternal wisdom and the correct procedures! It is known that Puppet Zvonko - for their own entertainment - whips, branded and cuts people with a razor, often with mortal consequences. We gladly approve of it, it is reasonable to Overpower must feel comfortable and have fun, with us, miserable microbes. We are happy that we are honored with its perfect presence. For the last month, we noticed that his Torture Trinity (razor, whip, stamp) was exclusively used by one unbeliever, just a blow - two, and then Puppet goes away. Instead of showing happiness which the Puppet is experiencing him at all, touching his pagan body with sacred objects, the unbeliever tries to hide, of course, in vain. This is one of the pages of my handmade picture book (made w/ watercolor paper, watercolor paint, color pencils, and pen & ink). I really wanted to focus on illustrating the beauty of the architecture and vibrant colors of the buildings.

Like I said getting a good likeness of someone in a portrait is a very tenuous grasp...I start out well...looks like them...hey I captured that...just a little off...Oh Crap! Still, I keep trying.
