Hey Everyone, since i'm new here I thought I break the ice with this little picture I made a couple of Months ago, as the picture suggests, yes I just turned 30. I been trying to get my art round in several websites, not that my work's amazing... Then I stumbled across this site and thought I give it a shot. So this Art pretty much describes myself... my interests, such as what games and films I like. Anyway let's see how this journey pans out!

People click pictures to remember and tell stories of their adventures on the trip. I want to tell my travel stories through doodles. This is my first attempt at them, and looks like i would stick to making these on my travels. This one is for the 4 day trip to Dharmashala, Himachal Pradesh, India. A 4 day trip of adventures captured in form of a doodle comic strip.
I was bored out of my mind so I just quickly painted this. I am in fact starting my big project. Its on a wood board that I plan to hang if it all turns out!
I did this one in India ink and colored it with Winsor & Newton drawing inks. I love the vibrance and transparency of illustration inks, but don't use them too often because the colors are fugitive
In wanting to get active with my fellow doodler community, I wanted to stop in and introduce myself. My name is Dalton Stark, I live in Texas, and i'm a doodle addict, and an advocate for the possibility of anything. For me, doodling is my purest state of being human. My sketchbooks are a very sacred place for me to practice this expressive and arcane form of imagination meditation, which I'm always trying to find more excuses to spend more time in. It is to me, all about intuition, making discoveries, surprising yourself, having fun and maybe even making yourself and others smile or laugh sometimes. Here is a passage from The Hobbit describing Smaug’s appearance: “There he lay, a vast red-golden dragon, fast asleep; thrumming came from his jaws and nostrils, and wisps of smoke, but his fires were low in slumber. Beneath him, under all his limbs and his huge coiled tail, and about him on all sides stretching away across the unseen floors, lay countless piles of precious things, gold wrought and unwrought, gems and jewels, and silver red-stained in the ruddy light. Smaug lay, with wings folded like an immeasurable bat, turned partly on one side, so that the hobbit could see his underparts and his long pale belly crusted with gems and fragments of gold from his long lying on his costly bed.”
