This art work of mine really shows the beauty of nature, n' whenever I take a glance at it, it makes me imagine the place I've always wondered of...I really feel as if it has taken me to my imaginary world & gives me pleasure...
I did this piece for Christmas. I got some Princeton brushes as a gift, so I figured I’d make a painting (Princeton brushes are awesome, by the way. If you can afford them, buy them). I hope you enjoy, and I will try and post often.

On July 18th, 2019, an arson attack on Kyoto Animation's Studio 1 left 36 dead and 34 injured, one of the deadliest mass casualty incidents in Japan since the end of WWII. KyoAni has some of the best working conditions in the industry and have made some of the most iconic anime to date, including Clannad, A Silent Voice, and the show that got me started on anime, Violet Evergarden (as seen in this drawing). I sent this drawing to them through their website, and there's a good chance it was displayed along with thousands of other fan submissions in Kyoto this past November as part of a public memorial service. While this was a tragic blow to the company and community, they're healing and getting back to their feet, and I can't wait to see what they create next.
the black and yellow garden spider (also called the writing spider; Argiope aurantia) and the banded garden spider (A. trifasciata), which have vivid yellow and black markings on the abdomen, are commonly referred to as garden spiders.

I live in a very small town, and one of my students is transgender. Her courage despite her struggles has inspired me. The lyrics in the second image are actually from a song she has written.
