For my first upload I wanted to upload a quick blind contour I did in my sketchbook of my favorite bird - the Northern Cardinal

In the process of developing the next "Bird, tree, card" painting. Building off the root sketch and incorporating a harpy eagle. Which heard of but never really "looked at before... and wow. They are beautiful, huge and so odd.

Goodbye to one month, and hello to all manner of April foolery.

World gone to hell Sons duaghters leaving their families homes, dying of a new and namles plague. Where are the gods? And what has become of my hero? I am king, but no more subjects are under my command. A kingdom falls. A new age dawns, the illest omens herald its bitter arrival . God preserve us. We have forasken god, they do not forasake us. I live on Toronto's waterfront, and everyday there seems to be something new to sketch. I'm trying to keep busy with this whole COVID-19 epidemic. I really can't help but to keep sketching, keeps me sane from all the fear going around.

So I did one of these with a couple of friends over on dA, where we each sketch something then ink the lines of someone else, and digitally colour the third, and as they both chose to draw their characters I scrapped the squid-creature idea to jump on the bandwagon as well!
