Starting next week, I'm going back to college. I'm very excited for my courses, especially art & writing. It will be a great opportunity to explore my curiosities, improve my art skills, and grow as a person. I will share my art assignments if my instructors allow it. I would also like to write a little about each piece, which may be required for my assignments anyway.
Lately, I've been inspired by fantasy & fairytale artwork. I think fantasy & horror will make good focuses for my pre-BFA portfolio. This was a little experiment with a fairytale aesthetic. One of my goals is to use limited art supply sets & swap out colours as they run out. I feel the first colours I picked out fit with aesthetic well.
I'm proud of this drawing, especially the dress & the night sky. However, I can see some areas that I should've done differently. I'm not happy with the proportions & foreshortening of the limbs. Also, I shouldn't have used a background colour for the flowers. I added the colour to cover up a smear from the watercolour. I should avoid making large areas of solid colour, especially with my coloured pencils. I am learning & improving.

A very rough sketch of my Ingellvar (I' not happy with it). I'll take this opportunity to talk about my headcanons:
Her name is Isida (once it was Isseya, but I renamed her).
She's an introvert. So leading a whole team to save the world is hard for her than for my other planned Rooks.
Her eye was damaged in a fight with Baron Van Markham, which really hurt her as an archer. Luckily, Varric taught her some tricks and gave her a second wind. She's back in action.
I don't know if it's mentioned in the game, but for now I'm headcanoning that she got the name Rook from Varric, who became like a father to her. So she prefers to be called Rook than Isida Ingellvar.
Sometimes she yearns for her elven roots, but still prefers Nevarra and Necropolis.
Hopefully, she will get me back into art.

I made my investment with the wrong platform and ended up losing both my capital investment and the profits I had made through my trading with them over the few months we had partnered together. It was such a very pathetic experience for me as I have never found myself in a situation so critical as this. I became depressed for months and almost lost my mind facing all these scenarios alone. At some point, I was having some suicidal thoughts, but thanks so much to my therapist, who helped me to set and maintain my healthy boundaries. I reached out to their contact detail that was provided by individuals testifying about their good work and filed a complaint, I was well responded to and we had a deep conversation on how I lost my money to the fake investment platform, everything seemed so unbelievable while they assured me of getting everything I have lost, I was asked questions on my mode of payment and evidence that shows a transaction occurred between both parties and if any agreement was breached or stated, after all these, just within the next 48hours or thereabouts I got all my lost investment together with my profits back in my wallet, these guys are amazing. Drawing up my friend's OC again. I tried to make him in a more dynamic or badass, but I couldn't do it. So, I went with this pose and focused more on the lining.
This week’s been an interesting one for socialising in my world, no denying it. If I’m not getting acquainted with new folks at work or at my art clubs, it’s reconnecting with people I haven’t seen in 20+ years… certainly informed today’s piece, without a doubt!
