After a gorgeous sunny day in the garden, the wind picked up in the late afternoon. Too windy for a walk, so I drove my son to the GG bridge for his nap and stopped at the welcome sight of St. Ignatius on the way back.
In the process of developing the next "Bird, tree, card" painting. Building off the root sketch and incorporating a harpy eagle. Which heard of but never really "looked at before... and wow. They are beautiful, huge and so odd.

She has no name that we simpler lifeforms can pronounce. She has lived long, and ever watched over the land of Sucrosia, (the land of candy). I live on Toronto's waterfront, and everyday there seems to be something new to sketch. I'm trying to keep busy with this whole COVID-19 epidemic. I really can't help but to keep sketching, keeps me sane from all the fear going around.
So I did one of these with a couple of friends over on dA, where we each sketch something then ink the lines of someone else, and digitally colour the third, and as they both chose to draw their characters I scrapped the squid-creature idea to jump on the bandwagon as well! I need no excuses to draw Verus
