So I did one of these with a couple of friends over on dA, where we each sketch something then ink the lines of someone else, and digitally colour the third, and as they both chose to draw their characters I scrapped the squid-creature idea to jump on the bandwagon as well! This is my first upload. I did a quick sketch of Gale and Katniss from the Hunger Games,. I have been doing sketches of passages from books lately and this is one. This is the scene on the day of the reaping. Gale and she are in the woods. Gale is spreading goat cheese and she Katniss is picking berries.
"Industrial Timeout" presents a meticulously rendered scene of solitude and tension within a utilitarian setting. The composition is split between a vast, empty white space and a tightly constrained, detailed industrial corner. In the foreground, a single, unassuming cardboard box sits on a pallet. It is labeled "FRAGILE" and "M.P.C." (possibly a reference to 'Minimum Package Content' or a similar industrial acronym), suggesting a precious, yet standardized, cargo awaiting movement.
Can you believe this is my first time drawing Bowser? It's not perfect, but I love how it turned out for a first. I did this because my sister found this non-profit organization that makes lunch packages for hungry children. This organization is allowing people to send them decorated paper lunch bags for them to use. We're about to send our first batch and I'm so excited! I have the links if you want to join the fun!
Recently re-watched.....a....certain...movie.....and felt persuaded to do this. I really liked the art style (not that i could do it myself) and wanted to try it in my own way. If you know what movie i'm talking about then feel free to comment it; i'm interested to see how many there are. Also, i would love some feedback on my art, this is the first one i've done with words in it sooo hopefully it "works".
