snow

Creepy version

I watched a virtual wildflower walk yesterday, and it reminded me that it's spring and beautiful things are happening quietly all over the place. This is a plant emerging from the snow at a hot spring in Mammoth on a Valentine's trip just before I found out I was pregnant.

Most likely the only attempt you'll see me do with real life people portraits.

Real life

It’s cold and snowy in Kansas City. I’m working inside for a while.

Got a few prompts from people and decided to mash them together. Rudolf, snow plow, zamboni

Watch out for this guy! He's not messing around this winter.

Snowman ⛄️ couldn't catch a break; the wind blew his hat off

It's snowing and I have to be at work....So I made what I want the most right now and it's a nap.

Challenging myself to do only freehand-in-ink sketching this month. Ink + alcohol markers.

Born on January

Mixed media, made with coffee stain, pen and Azure markers. Great for spring (although it's snowing outside at the moment, here... ugh).

Inspired by a recent snowfall we've had here in Edinburgh...
