I often hear music in my dreams. In this case, it was ‘Babylon’ by Oneohtrix Point Never (a.k.a. Daniel Lopatin, for those unaware). I had to respond in the best way possible of course!
A character concept drawing of a pirate vampire character I created for a collab writing project that died. His clothing and even his hair borrowed aspects from various jelly fish as inspiration. " The snap of inky sails catching the wind punctuated the subtle wooden creaks of the Sea Nettle as it slid over glossy black waves. The night was oppressive. With the moon obscured by clouds, the ship, with its doused lamps and its dark wood was nearly invisible as she crept closer to her prize. Tallis stood on the forecastle, one foot propped against the railing, his hands supporting a spyglass. He drifted the lens between the lights below deck, counting each of them and making note of any movement on the upper deck and in the rigging. A single sailor was at the helm. Another was lazily standing beside him, possibly engaged in conversation that distracted him from his watch. This was to be expected, not many would dare to disturb such a well-equipped vessel of the Luthen royal fleet. Nettie's crew was lesser in numbers, but they were experts in what few on the high seas could manage. Tonight, would be a quiet strike. Open combat spelled unnecessary danger for his crew."
THE LITTLE GIRL AND THE BALLOON by Ben Loory.
"That night the mother had a terrible dream. In the dream, Annie was a balloon. She floated up out of her bed and through the open window and away across the sky toward the moon."

Brambles are lovely to sit in amongst the bees. And also they make a good shelter from the rain.

"There's a North in us all, but my North can't hold me anymore." Oh man, what a day/week/month it's been. Today was the end of first semester, a bit hard to believe half the year is gone, a bit hard to believe we still have half of a year left. The past 24 hours have been nothing less than mental chaos (maybe my coach was foreshadowing all of this when he asked if I was ok last night...) Anyway, here I am, here we are. Legends and folklore is huge in Game of Thrones book series, one in particular is the legend of ‘Azor Ahai’, the warrior who drove the darkness away with his sword Lightbringer. How he forged the sword to bring the end in darkness was by plunging it into his wife’s heart. her soul and the hot blade created Lightbringer. A new ‘Azor Ahai’ was supposed to come again and many believe it to be either Daenerys Targaryen or Jon Snow.

I think end the end it’s Jon Snow if the prophecies were interpreted this way- the ‘long night’ being Daenerys mad reign. A more detailed explanation can be found on distractify.com!
The idea for this portrait came to me when I was looking at a packaging of soap - it was very glossy and it looked like it could look like pearls. As well as the soap packaging, I used white ink mixed with acrylic paint (for opacity) on black paper.
Watercolors and fineliners on Aquarelle, 300 GSM. Fantasy has always appealed to me ever since I was a kid, and I often find myself lost and wandering around in the fantastical world of "could've been's"
