Doodles, doodles, doodles. THIS IS NOT MY ORIGINAL DESIGN - I do not know who the original artist is but was inspired by some doodles I had seen on my Instagram feed. I definitely really enjoy these kinds of doodles, so relaxing and not so STRESSFUL as some of my charcoal realistic portraits can be.... might do some more :-)
These masters of leaf-like camouflage can be found throughout Southeast Asia, with some of the biodiversity hotspots being Indonesia, Malaysia, and Papua New Guinea . This is Nanophyllium suzukii watercolor painting, I like so much this technique. More like this on: https://www.instagram.com/camilojulianc/
I don't usually post my instagram art here, but, why not? I actually did this for a #DTIYS challenge of my own. I felt a melancholy mood approaching along with the cooler nights and fallen leaves around my neighborhood.
Superstition : Hare.
Two extraordinary beliefs about the hare which are still repeated though no longer held, are that it is so timid that it never closes its eyes, even in sleep; and that once a year the creatures change their sex!

Red-legged honeycreeper, Cyanerpes cyaneus (Thraupidae), a cool generalist avian nectarivore. Colored pencils for training. More like this on: https://www.instagram.com/camilojulianc/
Big-eared Brown Bat (Histiotus macrotus). Hybrid technique (digital enhanced watercolor). This species has large dark ears. The dorsal hairs are strongly bicolored, with black or dark brown bases and yellow tips. Some authors consider that H. macrotus is distributed only in Chile and Argentina. Omens : Caterpillar.
A favourite separation of Yorkshire people to bring good luck on themselves is to throw a hairy caterpillar over their left shoulder whenever they find one!
