Madam Lepiota

2nd attempt at a shroom head. I felt a lot of hats from 1950’s fashion actually look like mushroom caps.

I have been trying to keep a habit of regularly doodling in my sketchbook at least once a day. Here is a collection of some recent drawings I have completed.

Dying Star

This star is dying, but had a good run of several million years. Soon it will share its knowledge.

Hip shroom

This is just an idea I'm playing with after I recently reconnected with an old friend. He's a painter but has this huge passion for mushroom collecting. I have few more ideas for a little series now.

Side glance

A profile done in pencil. The texture of her hair turned out like ribbons. Suppose that’s what she’s wondering about?

The Soul Harvest

The Soul Harvest The Soul Harvest is done in a surrealistic style and is spiritual in content. This painting illustrates the world as being a field filled with souls from every corner of the earth needing to be saved from eternal death, which is the punishment for sin. But by hearing and understanding and receiving the good news, through faith in Jesus’s death for the sin of man, man can be forgiven and have eternal life with God. The farm tools leaning against the fence are an invitation to those who know Jesus to pick up their God-given talents and go into the world and use them to spread the good news. The inside of the barn, with the wheat sheaths standing up, illustrates the souls that have received eternal life through the work of the believer, and the crown is their reward from God. Brambles

Brambles are lovely to sit in amongst the bees. And also they make a good shelter from the rain. https://www.instagram.com/p/CSpMKfXr00y/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

Steampunk is a Seahorse

I did the water texture according to a tutorial by James Chapman, found on Instagram. The steampunk seahorse was an idea from a lady I am following on Instagram as well (look for @carrieisartsy) This piece is done on a paint chip card with poscapens, a gold marker and fineliners.
