I drew this at a zoom climate event on a postcard. It will be sent to a state politician. I drew it with colored pencils (I got inspired by @DoisPontoseMeio's art.) I think the face is good, that's the reason I uploaded it but the rest isn't that great (I'm still learning how to draw things other than faces.)

He dies with the honor of his ancestors, among the trees, not strung up on a dead one like his brothers or forced to work like a slave as his sisters. He dies a proud alf. His are the kin of the trees. The others that live on in the cities are traitors! Their blood is poison now. He takes as many knights as he can. Tonight the Elvin folks perish.And so ... Goodknight

how i adjust this thing

The challenging thing with just using pen is that I can't paint over a mistake. I usually redo a face more than once. I didn't mean to make their face so stoic, it makes them look like a statue.

My favourite comic heros

Ink & graphite doodles/sketches, (this time more graphite than ink.) A5 size ruled notepad paper. This started out like other doodles of mine, but quickly morphed into something a bit more deliberate and complicated.

Something simpler (on the surface at least).

Finally, Luigi gets to be the star of his own artwork, celebrating his accomplishments (as such). This was a commission that I did for someone who wanted to give a gift to a massive Luigi fan. The client wanted a large figure of Luigi in the center, and other instances of Luigi around the page doing various Luigi-things. Luigi's green missile from Super Smash Bros and his "death stare" from Mario Kart 8 were very specific requests. I also added an illustration of the Sprite from Super Mario Bros. 2, since that is when Luigi first begins to have his own unique character traits. And of course, you've got to have Luigi's Mansion as well. The client didn't know much about Luigi, but that was no problem because I am a huge Nintendo fan and knew exactly what to do. In fact, I would have done even more! It wasn't easy to put it all together but, I think it came out ok. I feel like it finally worked in the very end when, in a last minute move, I totally changed the eyes of the middle Luigi to have that kind of cross-eyed look that you often see in Nintendo's illustrations. That makes the face the focal point and is completely in character, if you ask me. I can probably do commissions for you too, so get in touch if you're interested! Been practicing on people lately! I've been taking some time off but I back and will try to upload more frequently!!! UwU

I started this drawing yesterday, and I finished up the sketch today. (The second image is the reference.) I wanted to get some feedback on the sketch before I colored it in. I'm pretty happy with how it turned turned out. Anything I should tweak before continuing?

Midnight flavoured motivation.

Oh boy, markers (NOT a go-to), least favorite color, and a subject that isn’t on my radar. This was a hard one what with 3 negatives going for it. But, hey, it’s a challenge, right? Choosing a subject came first….we have a house full of Indonesian masks and sculptures. (My husband studied gamelon music in Indonesia.) Garuda, the “mount” of Vishnu and popular with Balinese artists seemed a good choice, esp. since he can be green, red, yellow or orange. I rarely choose yellow/orange for anything---artwork, décor, clothing...though I do have a soft spot for sunflowers. First I drew a bunch of images based on one of our wooden Garuda sculptures and then made a simplified marking pen outline and colored it with markers.

I've been here for 2 months and somehow I haven't drawn something spiritual. Time to switch from doughnuts to god. This is a drawing of an angel. I think I'm also going to start drawing my stuff like this. Let me know what you think.

The 4th Joyful Mystery, the Presentation of Jesus. I put Joseph up front because he had a very important part not only in the Circumsision of Jesus after 8 days but also the Presentation of Jesus after 40 days. In fact the Fathers are the ones who offer the sacrifice in private (with other jewish priests etc.) in order to "Redeem" the child. Hence one of Saint Joseph's titles: "The Redeemer of the Redeemer". He also has the unique title of the "Savior of the Savior" because in the flight to Egypt after this event Joseph saved Jesus from the hands of Herod. Oh and I got to see the tomb of Saint Simeon! It's in Zadok and we got to see his body, he still had flesh but his beard had fallen out (poor guy, lol). He was a very holy man, I could feel the graces there. ^_^ St. Simeon and St. Anna the Prophetess, pray for us! Luke 2: 22-39 22 And after the days of her purification, according to the law of Moses, were accomplished, they carried him (Jesus) to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord: 23 As it is written in the law of the Lord: Every male opening the womb shall be called holy to the Lord: 24 And to offer a sacrifice, according as it is written in the law of the Lord, a pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons: 25 And behold there was a man in Jerusalem named Simeon, and this man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel; and the Holy Ghost was in him. 26 And he had received an answer from the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Christ of the Lord. 27 And he came by the Spirit into the temple. Experimenting with colors and design

An ode to the seas, sailing and other malarkey relating to that theme.

I started out drawing a horse running but it turned into this strange doodle.

I've discovered some great jazz whilst working from home. I guess it's an age thing? Get to middle age and you're bang into jazz. I started off making some free hand lettering which quickly turned into me doodling the names of my favourite musicians. Might develop this into a poster, what do you reckon? Mmmm jazz, nice!

"If you're a goblin in need of a smoke, you know where to go" Part of a series I've started with monsters in the modern world, this is the digital work I've liked the most so far, but I'd appreciate feedback on anything I could improve on.

I used a reference to draw this scenery. In the reference there was so many details that I really wanted to capture it. I even wanted to capture the details in the bride’s wedding dress. I think the groom looks quite handsome in blue (it’s HIS color as some people might say). I incorporated the long, beaded line under the bushels of flowers (just another element to add to an already beautiful scene). Also, as you can see, I added an audience watching the couple as they have their picture taken. The flowers spread along the table with the view of the wavy waters right behind them looks so refreshing. Every element served its purpose for the ultimate “moment to remember” feeling. One of my favorite things about this drawing is the string lights. It’s one of the smallest items to have, but they add character and charm to the scenery. The string lights give a romantic feel and is even more gorgeous at night. I enjoyed doing this drawing so much that I anticipated the second I’d be finished with it.
