Eco says that he is able to be productive during the brief “interstices” in the day. He told The Paris Review’s interviewer: “This morning you rang, but then you had to wait for the elevator, and several seconds elapsed before you showed up at the door. During those seconds, waiting for you, I was thinking of this new piece I’m writing. I can work in the water closet, in the train. While swimming I produce a lot of things, especially in the sea. Less so in the bathtub, but there too.”

This one started off bad and ended good. It was quick sketch that I wasn't really happy with. I decided to keep going and experiment. I was able to let go and draw without thinking and caring as much. I usually struggle with overthinking and perfectionism, so this one felt like a win for me.
I painted recently a little castle for a wedding invitation, in watercolor and pigma micron pens. I'm now thinking about creating a fabric pattern on the theme of castle and royal gardens

For this day I was thinking about what to draw and I remembered the occasion when Booger defeated King Nixels and that's when it occurred to me to draw Booger in front of a rainbow and a cubit in his hands
Keep thinking about a story about Kismet (one of my cats) and Rocky (a friends dog I just met). I don’t know what they would both do in it, but there would be much shivering and tail wagging.
Ps. Kismet is not fat. She is actually very svelte. But I had two blobs on my page and she was destined to be one of them

Finally had a day to sit and scribble, first day in a long time. It's fast and loose, but I like how it turned out, and I had fun! My reference was a toy squirrel; but, I think love and death are a bit more interesting. Done in Photoshop. This is a simple watercolor and pen drawing of a witch hazel tree in winter bloom with an owl perched on top. I love the witch hazel shrub and am thinking of creating a picture book showcasing the plant throughout the seasons.

Playing with leftovers of a recent project.
This lil fella represents my artistic freedom. I am prone to spending too much time in my head thinking about what I want to make and it ultimately results in nothing being made, or abandoning projects that didn't live up to my wild expectations. But THIS lil fella.... he doesn't look like much from the outside, but I am proud of him. Good job lil fella. I am one step closer to rediscovering what I enjoyed about art to begin with.
