In wanting to get active with my fellow doodler community, I wanted to stop in and introduce myself. My name is Dalton Stark, I live in Texas, and i'm a doodle addict, and an advocate for the possibility of anything. For me, doodling is my purest state of being human. My sketchbooks are a very sacred place for me to practice this expressive and arcane form of imagination meditation, which I'm always trying to find more excuses to spend more time in. It is to me, all about intuition, making discoveries, surprising yourself, having fun and maybe even making yourself and others smile or laugh sometimes. In this photo I drew two Betta fish, a clock and a female in a dark background. Drawing this picture was more of a self expression. The two betta fish expressed conflict; the clock expressed running out of time and the female I guess would represent myself. I was in a dark period while drawing this, but happy to say, I’ve managed to pull through my obstacles =)
This was a final assignment for my most recent figure drawing class. There's some things I'll probably play around with but for now I'm definitely ready to set it aside for a bit. Time: 8 hrs Medium: Procreate on iPad.

This is Lianhua. She is from the Tang Dynasty in the Year 700 Ad. She is wearing a type of hanfu (traditional Chinese dress) called a Qixiong Ruqun. If anyone knows more on Hanfu and Chinese historical fashion, let me know if I I got the the time period right or if the styles are from different time periods. Older picture I've done. At that time I wasn't used to using references, but instead I did everything from my head, as I imagined them. And this time I wanted to create a lonely arctic fox with a warmer atmosphere surrounding the animal.
Just some time wasters I did. I would explain it, but it would require me to go into way too much comic nerd information. Its essentially a comic character that I redesigned (no its not the Joker). I really love concept art, and character design. I'm really not good at it, but I delve into it periodically for fun.
A few years ago, I noticed a new habit of doodling faerie folks who seemed to exude off of the page. They look very doodle-y but they have ‘presence’, at the same time.
