Digital illustration that took 14 hours to complete. I wanted to create almost an illusion type piece. I like showing diversity in my art so more to come!!!
A page from my sketchbook during my Foundation Diploma in Art & Design in London. Diluted ink is a great medium. It always gives this authentic look. I think I used colouring pencils below to give it a strong colourful look. Love this one.
Red-legged honeycreeper, Cyanerpes cyaneus (Thraupidae), a cool generalist avian nectarivore. Colored pencils for training. More like this on: https://www.instagram.com/camilojulianc/
Big-eared Brown Bat (Histiotus macrotus). Hybrid technique (digital enhanced watercolor). This species has large dark ears. The dorsal hairs are strongly bicolored, with black or dark brown bases and yellow tips. Some authors consider that H. macrotus is distributed only in Chile and Argentina. This sketchbook is all about triangle patterns! Each page starts with a base layer of connecting triangles. From there, I fill in different patterns on each page, challenging myself to come up with new ideas for each page.
I've been doing a lot of virtual table-top roleplaying games with social distancing. This is my 2nd level fighter from a 2nd edition AD&D game I'm playing in currently.
Lovecraftian monster. I very much enjoyed making lines with no precision or thought. Pure art, no planning. I'm going to continue down this path. Done with ink.
