More practice with shading and tone. The candle was definitely the most difficult and I am still not 100% happy with it.

Just drop in the watercolor in different value and mixing of limited palette. It’s very meditating and an excellent watercolor exercise.

I had so much fun drawing the concept art for the Liz Cat's crew, that I decided to make all the other Altitone animatronics (including a smaller Dellusion) as these more kid-friendly designs! They aren't quite canon, though, because the real Liz Cat's cast only had five animatronics: Elizabeth, Preistor, Altor, Lexibo, and Dexter. Drawn with FireAlpaca.

Daler Rowney and Winsor Newton do a watercolour called Sepia. I absolutely love the tone of the Rowney one and had a play with it here. I'd really like to do a proper sepia painting some day.

I think I've finally come up with a design for the Altitone crew that is actually appealing to children. All the previous designs had always looked like nightmares: no eyes, sharp teeth, faceplates, and most of all; they were all white --- and not all cats, rabbits, and bears are white. So, I needed to make them resemble animals a little more. And I did! I'm certainly going to keep revising these designs, though. But for now, I introduce you to the V1 Liz Cat's band! This restaurant chain will probably be the one that I'd make a FNaF fangame out of. Drawn with FireAlpaca.

The M capturer before Jester had a mental breakdown. It's basically just a recolored Springlocker, a suit which looks like an Altitone animatronic, but hollowed out so a person could fit in. It has a full range of movements, and a voice changer, but it doesn't have a voice vix or anything like that. Drawn with FireAlpaca.

As a small animatronic branch, BaileyTainment gained the rights to use Ringmaster's Altitone band members as their own. So, they altered some of the characters and created their own chain of the Altitone Band: Zero Days Until the Party. These are the band members of that restaurant: Elizabeth the singer, Preistor the guitarist, Lexibo the pianist, Altor the drummer, and Dexter the DJ. A cat, a rabbit, elephant, bear, and racoon. I got inspiration from The Wolf Pack 5 --- a singer, a drummer, pianist, and a guitarist. The DJ thing is sort of its own thing, but inspiration could also be drawn from Rolfe DeWolfe (who was a comedian in The Rock-afire Explosion). Drawn with FireAlpaca.

A plush version of withered Preistor. He's probably my favorite character... though, that might be because of the withering part of him, which was inspired by withered Bonnie.

A teaser for the new pizzeria and animatronics. The restaurant is called "Zero Days Until the Party", or more commonly referred to as "Zero Days" or "Zeros". This restaurant will have less animatronics, with a slightly different looks than Ringmaster's Altitone band. Mostly just the addition of eyes. I'll reveal which animatronics have been encluded in this pizzeria another day. Drawn with FireAlpaca.

what do you see?

I got to drop into an outdoor class with my beloved teacher from the studio. A space had finally opened up two weeks before everything in SF shut down again. Well, it was good to see her and my fellow students and be in that setting on a beautiful sunny day. I was also negotiating my next job salary and getting phone calls during class, so I wasn't entirely present. The class topic for the day was palm trees. This is in front of the De Young, another place I was so glad to have visited indoors on another afternoon before the latest lock down.

Another icon or logo of Jester's restaurant, "Ringmaster's Pizza Hall". This one is more sinister, and looks more like a FNaF teaser, especially for Sister Location. Though the Altitone animatronics were based off of the funtime's designs, the resemblance between Jester and Ennard is completely coincidental --- but I've kind of embraced it now. The trade was to draw a monster as made up by your counterpart without seeing a reference image, based only on the description. Here is her half (which is awesome): www.deviantart.com/optimisticj… For mine, I had to draw a monster called a "niter" based off of his description: "Niters communicate in whispers. Nocturnal. Shy away from light. They’re black and oily and emanate a bluish glow. Large, looming 6 foot shadow things with massive hind legs, clawed for climbing trees and they have ‘maws’ instead of arms, claw-like appendages they stab people with and only one gaping blue eye. Their mouths open up and they swallow their victims whole." What's funny is that I didn't see the fact that they emanate a bluish glow until now. So, the glow from the eye is purely by coincidence. Figuring out the hind legs of this creature was difficult, and so I sought reference images, and of all things, the koala turned out to be a pretty good reference. For a while, there, it was looking like Carnage from Spiderman, but I toned down the reddish-hue a bit. The intention was to give the appearance of motor oil. So, now to find out how badly I failed at drawing this... This art trade was fun, though, and I would do a similar one, again. But I am le tired.

I figured it'd be a while until I draw (in full detail) ALL of the Altitone band members, so I made each one a sprite. Their names are (from left to right): (The first one is a base), Elizabeth the hot pink cat, Preistor the sky blue rabbit, Altor the golden bear, Bruce the green mouse, Lexibo the violet elephant, Mary the short red fox, Dexter the blue-gray Racoon DJ, and the three cheerleaders: Rosette the crimson mouse, Oopsie the russet fox, and Pastelle the cotton candy short-eared rabbit. On the very bottom are the instruments. In order, they are Elizabeth's mic, Preistor's guitar, Altor's drum set, Bruce's mic, Lexibo's piano, Mary's oil drum (not an instrument, but Mary hides her bottom half in the oil drum, sort of like Looney Bird from The Rock-afire Explosion (which is why she has no legs)), and Dexter's DJ board. The last three are cheerleaders, and their hands have been replaced with cheerleading pom poms. On stage left, we have Dexter and Mary. On the center stage, we have Preistor, Altor, Lexibo, Elizabeth, and Bruce. On stage right is Rosette, Oopsie, and Pastelle. Made with Piskel.
