For this piece I used acrylic paints and acrylic markers. My inspiration was my love of tattoo flash and traditional/neo-traditional tattoo designs. I grew up flipping through pages of tattoo flash catalogues and the art inside was a huge influence in my own art. Some of these pieces are my versions of popular designs and some are originals.

This species is also recorded in trade in West and Central Africa as this species is used for both traditional medicines and also they are intentionally killed for use in witchcraft. This species is part of the Accipitridae bird family, which diverged from all other species of bird 49.6 million years ago during the Paleogene period. Vultures split from the other genera in this family 12.7 million years ago. This species is highly sensitive to land-use and is concentrated to protected areas. Individuals were marked with patagial (wing) tags in Fouta Djallon vulture sanctuary to monitor movements and for a toxicological assessment of the vulture population of the park. This is a drawing I did not too long ago, I think the pink and brown were blended nicely together in the piece. I use Copic markers, Microns, gel pens, and Ohuhu markers. I really enjoyed the theme of this character, (cherry blossoms) I think I was able to show the colors nicely together in the artwork.
Unfinished value study for a painting, worked in graphite on hot pressed watercolor paper. Drafted and rendered using the Bargue method. Hopefully, I got the photo oriented correctly so that the drawing will be right side up, once I upload it! If anyone has advice for photographing a heavy application of graphite, without getting weird reflectiveness, or speckled effects, I’m very interested!
