The page looked flawless with a slick design, a detailed agenda, high profile speakers and polished testimonials. Minutes later the transaction showed as confirmed on the blockchain and I received an email with a QR code labeled as my official badge. Everything seemed in order.That confidence shattered a few days later when I contacted the legitimate conference organizers. They had no record of me.
