Sketched a great photo from Unsplash and then added a touch of color. I really want to develop watercolor, but I also love the way that pencil simplifies vision. I like how this turned out and will continue to play with this.

I found a picture online, decided it looked really beautiful, picked up my watercolors and painted it.

I like to snuggle up in my hoodie because it makes me feel safe.

A watercolour illustration for the book, The Girl from the Moon. One day I'll finish the book.

Ink, watercolor markers, paper. 2023. Sometimes I need to let myself create from my unconscious and not stick to some planned approach. The markers were a gift from my children and I really have been enjoying them!

Created for my Grandma. Background done with watercolor. Knot drawn with gel pens. Swarovski crystals added for "flair."

This was an exercise in taking a photo that was quite dark and foreboding and turning it into a happy looking illustration. I'm slowly getting my head around how to make my work look like illustration instead of "fine art". This is watercolour and colour pencil.

This was an image from a dream I just had to get up and try to reproduce!

Wake up your creativity! Take a piece of paper, something to write on, and draw a few lines/circles/squiggles. Then more and more, and so on... Let your imagination run wild. You can create something beautiful out of nothing.
