I'd like to introduce an old dear friend. This is my anxiety, depression, anger, and worst critic all in one package. He shows up alot in my doodles to criticize my work and life in general. I am a nervous wreck, which gives him his name.
The closest thing to my right was my new tamagotchi which I got for Christmas. It gave me the inspo to experiment with animation! I used the main colour of my tamagotchi for the base, pink. Reminds me of a Buddhist proverb: Patiently I will bear harsh words as the elephant bears arrows on the battlefield. Words are powerful. They stir emotions. We are the managers of our emotions. An attempt at organizing my 'why' for making drawing the center of my curriculum, and selling the idea to my students. Suggestions for refinements welcome.
I do generally put pen (or some kind of tool), to paper (or some kind of surface), every day, but I'm really TRYING to do it purposefully in one singular location (journal). Here is a successful attempt from that particular day. I'm also super lazy, which means I never go up to my actual studio and only use what's out on my computer desk.

Apparently, Blixa Bargeld of Einsturzende Neubaten and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds fame actually did this to his school back when he was a lad! I needed an idea for a convoluted weird-as-they-come title, and after reading that story I knew I had something, heheheh :)
I miss having old-school, beautifully fucked up dreams that make zero sense whatsoever. One I had earlier this week met those standards of surrealism and more!
When you are in this forest, you are lost, until the sun rises again to show the path out of madness. This was one of the first large paintings, that I completed. Its a strange thing because when I was painting it, i distorted the horizon line.The line should be level by right.
