Tash Goswami Hello, my name is Tash Goswami,
and I'm a doodle addict.
Scotland, UK

Hi my name is Tash Goswami. I am a British born designer / maker living in Scotland, UK. My cultural background is Italian/Indian. I was lucky to be trained under esteemed Ceramicists, Walter Keeler, Mo Jupp and Nick Homoky, during the early '90's and after graduating i worked as a studio ceramicist at the White Factory studios. My first love is and always will be, working in clay but I have always drawn and doodled in my sketchbook, bits of paper, margins of books or reports, back of envelopes and anything else that comes to hand. I love pen and ink, as well as black and white - so i usually use either a dip pen and ink or staedler fine line pen. However in recent years i have been exploring other mediums and processes, the main reason, i suppose, is that sometimes other mediums work better. For over 20 years i earned a living by working as a manager in arts administration and youth and community arts rather than as a direct artist, which was very interesting and gave me insights and understanding of the 'behind the scenes' to the artsworld. In 2009 i decided to return back to earning a living from my artwork - maybe it was a mid life thing, but probably it was really because i am my most happiest when i am directly creating!

Stream of Consciousness (WIP)

Whew!!! About 50 hours of work split evenly over line work and color. I think it’s finished ( famous last words)! I’ll check on it again in a few days for any final details... and get some good camera shots instead of phone camera. .... but I’m happy!

The Fox and the Hare

A doodle in the series "Spot the Tennis Ball Doodle" I did years ago. There are many story in this drawing. One thing makes me love doodling the best is you can put so many stories within a single canvas. I love stories, I love telling as much. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The main story I want to tell here in this picture is the loving CARROT fox. He just desperately want to have carrot for meals but only the Hares, Rabbits grow them. And they doesn't like foxes. But lucky for him, somehow, he find a friend who can help him with that, a HARE friend. The friendship of two is beautiful. Hm, you know, just one of the normal days, the Fox wait for the Hare to carry for him a carrot. The waiting was long and Fox just couldn't stay still. But the Hare came finally, and the Fox was so happy, he JUMP!

Inspect the nectar”

Watercolour crayon, crayon and fineliner drawing... i like to think everything is connected and feeds off each other, a constant cycle. Im fasinated with plants like the venus fly traps and tried to incorporate into the flower with some snake eyes.
