Camila Pergat Hello, my name is Camila Pergat,
and I'm a doodle addict.
Saarbrücken, Germany

Engineer by trade but artist at heart :) I love drawing and painting and have decided recently to step up the hobby and take it more seriously. I'm looking for a community to share my work and get feedback, meet other artists and view their work, and participate in some challenges, so here I am!

Brendan’s Dreams

This is a commissioned doodle illustrating someone’s dreams. This was drawn with a fineliner on A1 paper with no pencilling or pre-planning. As you can tell!

Screaming Seagull

This was one of dozens of daily sketches I did in a small book for my daughter's Christmas present a couple of years ago. Love the wacky gulls. So many in my area.

Intruder

A little while back I started doing little triptych cartoons, something I could have fun with and zip off pretty quickly. Then I expanded them to four panels when it felt necessary. Some people think too deeply about my little toons and are confused about what's happening. I just tell them to look at it more simply, and not to overthink it. Like this one.

One of dozens of cartoons I created the last couple of years. A little voice is telling me to get these published in a book. If the voice gets louder, it will happen. In the meantime, I'm brainstorming and filling my sketchbook.

Appreciating Art

As I reflect on my past experiences, I am accutely aware of how often I have spoken from opinion rather than from experience. I have made mistakes. This makes me think of the Mark Twain quote -"Good judgement comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgement." Let's go out and get some experience, shall we?
