In 2020 I returned to regular art after multiple 'false starts' since 2016. I did oil paintings for months, then burned out in August. I've been blocked ever since, but recently started making time for my art as a daily practice. I love the Welsh landscape. It's my biggest inspiration.

I specialize in drawing, landscapes, painting.

It was so meditative doing the shading and blending for this one.

Pink tulips on toned tan sketch paper. This was my first time burnishing. I used the toned tan paper so that I could better see the effects of burnishing with a white pencil. I used Prismacolor soft core pencils.

I did this mostly from the imagination.The perspective is a bit off,but I still like it. Its of a peat bog in Ireland. A peat bog is similare to a marsh except the mud or soil solidifys, and then it can be cut for fuel.

A pen and ink of an old building which is near me.

An old lime kilin.These were used to make fertiliser for farming, before the introduction of chemical fertilisers. They made lime out of burnt charcoal.They are not used any more.

This is where I grew up.I lived in the mountain region, for most of my life before I moved into a town. The town I live in now is located near a huge wildlife reserve, and thats were I get my new landscapes from.

The Renewing Of The Dead Tress/In memory of my father that I loved.

A landscape that I did about my father while he was alive. He was a sheep farmer and he planted tress on his hill farm.This is done in memory of him as he died from cancer.Its a finished piece and based on sketches I did. Its an acrylic painting and 1/10 in a body of work.
