Lauren Konopacki's Faves

Patternz - Series 3

Illustration made with handcarved stamps.

Tried some trendy portrait sketch

When Rebelle 3 by Escape Motions came out I wanted to create something that really shows off its power. I normally draw in fountain pen first, but this was created entirely from scratch in Rebelle 3. Digital art tends to be cold and impersonal, but Rebelle's watercolor simulation looks & feels like real paint... and you can undo! That's critical for illustration work, as clients often request changes... But even for personal work- it means an artist can achieve a watercolor look without being at the mercy of the medium. So the result is more true to his or her vision.

I colored this in Escape Motions Rebelle 3.

A slightly older pencil drawing from last year, untitled.

A sketch from last February, inspired by Sigur rós' video for the song Ekki múkk.

Working pic of the Millennium Garden, available soon in my Etsy Shop https://www.etsy.com/your/shops/JuliaHillIllustrator

I love gardens! I was recently at the opening of the Abbey Millennium Garden so thought I would produce a piece of work celebrating the new garden.

Copic Markers and Fountain Pen

Gigantesqua from the north.

Robot drawn with fineliners and watercolor, placed inside a matchbox. Size is about 3.5x5.5cm.

Geometric drawing of my buddy Zorro.

My friend wanted nautical creatures for the back of her business cards, so VOILA. These are ink doodles that were scanned and given some color/grunge in Photoshop.
