Richard Koehler's Faves

Today's update

On to the next

Yesterdays progress on a new drawing. Couldn't put the pen down until I was drifting to sleep. Thought filling in all those shapes on the last drawing would slow the manic urge to draw. Apparently not

This one goes out to crypto bros and stock dudes that jump from buildings after a crash. Song art for "Buy Low, Die Anyway" by Junkyard Sam. Now available on Spotify, Soundcloud, etc.

Thought I'd switch to my other style as it's been a while since I drew like this, it's one of my favorite ways to draw for realism

Painted Zip disk. Mixed media. I love old retro stuff and found rejected objects. It's hard to believe how fast zip, floppy, jaz, etc. disks became yesterdays technology. It's about time these old disks found a new purpose and some respect.

I started by thinking up the most awful things I could, which wasn't particularly difficult. When I had made things as awful as possible I took a run and bounced off the floor and flew away from everything, leaving it all behind me in a deep well. Down there the whole town was burning. Down there Poppolino was padding around in the studio in the dark screaming with loneli-ness. Down there sat the crow saying: it was your fault that I died. And the Unmentionable Thing crawled under the mat. But I just went on flying. - Sculptor's Daughter by Tove Jansson #dailydrawing #tovejansson

The clicks and whistles emanating from the forest oracle can be interpreted in many ways, none of them pleasant.
