I have avoided social media for a couple of months now as it was making me unproductive, unmotivated and all-round less creative. I miss the community of creative social media so I have made this account to post my art anonymously: good or bad; finished or not; unedited and unfiltered. I hold back a lot when making art and even more so when publishing it. This is an opportunity to change that. This is a quick self-portrait just to force myself into creating anything today.
Started in 2017, finished in 2018. Have you ever been with someone who made you feel like the only way out of the situation was to kill yourself? I was.
One of the scariest characters I've ever seen. The most frightening of the vampires from the movie "Fright Night" (1985). I had to draw her as a form of therapy. Thumbs-up for the art department on that movie! If she had had white eyes instead of the red eyes in the movie, I would've been irreparably damaged! :) (Pencil on paper, size A4).
The Middle American killifish genus Profundulus occurs in most Pacific and Atlantic drainages from the Mexican state of Guerrero to the Chamelecón River in Honduras, with highest species diversity in southern Mexico. Digital painting. Genus Profundulus: P. parentiae (top), P. mixtlanensis (blue predator), P. oaxacae (mostly dark spots) y P. balsanus (below). Here's a drawing I did this evening while sitting in my backyard. I suppose it's a reflection of my mental state of this past week, and the concerns I have for the weeks to come. 10 cm x 16 cm.
