Timber was a recent A3 commission I was lucky enough to do. Drawn using 0.03 and 0.05 fineliners. I was sad to see this one go!

Meet Blu. Hand drawn using 0.03 and 0.05 black fineliners on A4 medium cartridge. Such a gorgeous dog with so much personality.

This was originally supposed to be a swamp landscape, but I got frustrated with the colors not blending, etc. I painted the whole canvas black and ended up with this

Finally my own very first digital painting portrait

As a child of the 70s, I have very fond memories of sitting on the floor in front of our little colour TV, and watching and adoring Lynda Carter bounce around, kicking ass and fighting crime. I’ve always loved Wonder Woman, and I'm fascinated by the myriad ways she’s been imagined and re-imagined over the years. For mine I focused on her dualism – the goddess beauty vs warrior strength, combined with the colour and curves of my childhood. In terms of the art, I thought it would be fun to allude to classicism for the subjects association with Greek mythology and form, and balletic contrapposto as a homage to Lynda's classic spin. I did this quick study a bit ago and thought I'd share! I loved the Hunger Games movies, and wanted to revisit the IP with some art!

So, for the new Fantastic Beasts movie, I came up with an idea to draw Newt, and so I did

Created a pet portrait of my friend's puppy in Harry Potter gear!

For any of you missing the outdoors: Picture yourself sitting on the edge of the lake, dipping your toes in the cool water. Feel the wind whisk around you as the sun goes down. You can hear the birds chirping as they settle in for the night. And if you listen close enough, you can hear the old pines whispering tales and stories of the forest long ago. :)

Sorry I haven’t been around to post much. I’m always really busy during the summer months. I decided to buy a set of oil paints and experiment with them. When my set arrived, it was missing a blue paint so i had to improvise on this one. The painting is still wet so there is some glare in the image. I feel like it looks good, but I am definitely lacking the skill and technique in oil paints. That is why this painting is super simple and easy subject matter. Hopefully, I can start to get a feel for the oils :)

This was a requested painting that is sold . There were a couple special requests that i’m still working on so as of right now, this painting isn’t finished.

Simple watercolor landscape studies - two different seasons, same spot

This is an original painting of a secluded cove in the trees. I’ve tried sharing my art before and for criticized and accused of plagiarism when I drew an original animal that resembled that of another. I assure that my works are original. If they aren’t, I will give credit where credit is due.

This was part of a bigger study I'm currently in the midst of, with landscapes, water reflections and pinetrees for miles. Any and all feedback is very much appreciated.
