May 2019 was a month that I focused on collaging my own handmade paper together to create illustrations. I also started trying out gouache, to mixed results. It's a skill I intend to learn!
Messing around with very mixed media. Pen, pencil, color pencil, colored sharpies, brush pen and acrylic pen. Just threw everything within arms reach at it lol.

Filtered digital collage of archival ink pen & gel pen on paper, gears (one with acrylic paint), manipulated photography, and digital colours & patterns.
Inspired by Ruth Wilshaw and her book "Creative Gouache" I tried to get a gouache effect in my digital illustration. I think I did it. I'm nicely surprised with the final look.
That's why experimenting is so astonishing.
