Dear Friends , The Great Pumpkin Carve sponsored by the Chad Ford Historical Society is going to be held on the Thursday 18 October 2018 . Live carving is Thursday night, starting at 300PM. There is usually about 70-100 carvers, the creations of these artists are on display in a maze like setting. Other attraction are a hay ride , haunted forest display, food causations venders, live music. The event is Thursday night to Saturday night. The Great Pumpkin Carve Chadds Ford Historical Society P.O. Box 27, Chadds Ford, PA 19317 610-388-7376 ~ www.chaddsfordhistory.org I have been carving at this event since 2007. I almost did not participate last year because I was unemployed, and could not afford the entrance fee of $25, but The watercolor artist Andy Smith paid my entrance fee. and my sister paid my gas. Well I am unemployed again, not sure I will have the funds to enter this year. Pray the Good Lord will open the financial door that I will get the money to pay the coast to enter this year. Below are some of the Pumpkins I have carved in the past.

One of my biggest supporters and best friend passed away recently. My Grammy. My Grandpa has been gone almost 10 years now. So, in real life, whenever a blue butterfly showed up it was Grandpa coming to check on Grammy. Now, she's a butterfly going to be with him.

this is Jax. no last name, just Jax. this artistic witch (who is sometimes called a crueler word that rhymes) doesn't have much going on in her life, other than being a full-time murder club member. at almost a thousand years, she's one of the oldest (and rudest) members, and has devoted her life to cleaning up crime scenes, and keeping Max safe.

I'm not musically skilled enough to make the band reality but I can always imagine how their albums would look like if existed. This was inspired by the artwork of AnneliesDraws. She has an amazing skills with gouache and colored pencils. I don't have gouache paints and so I tried making an illustration using my watercolor paints. I tried increasing the opacity of the watercolor to almost the same as of the gouache paints. Hi! I just now created this page because I have a problem!! I love the idea of drawing (digital, graphite, markers, microns you name it), BUT I never actually get anything finished. It's a curse that has haunted me my entire life. Any good advice on how to stay consistent and follow through with your drawings? This one I've been doodling with Sketchable, using the photo to the left as reference just to eyeball off. I worked on it for a few days and was super inspired and now a year has passed from that (!!!) and It's still in this stage of almost done but I'm struggling with getting back into it..

These are my two oldest grandkids, as they looked the last time I have seen them, almost 10 years ago. Right then Yoshua was 8 and Emma 6.

I drew one of my toys, (almost!) every day for a year. They were all done on 6"x6" card stock with alcohol based markers. I researched every one to try and find the company, etc. These are a few of the Disney characters in my collection.

I spent 4 days working on this drawing using nothing but my laptops trackpad. I took inspiration from drips of paint and then stretched them apart to span between where bones should be. The eye contour area was designed that way in order for it to stretch and collapse almost the same as how muscles contract and relax.

From a couple of days back! Almost forgot…

What inspired me with this piece was an enchanted forest. The purple trees and pinkish leaves plus the somewhat colorful grass (capturing it with my camera was a little tough but its a mix of forest and deep green with some blue) and the shrooms made me think of a kind of air of mysticism and fantasy. The Elk is one of my favorite animals and I feel has a regal presence almost in it. I thought about adding more vegetation but I was afraid of adding too much. What do you think? ^^

While I was drawing this months ago, my tablet pen fell apart in my hand. It was bizarre and shocking, and then I completely forgot about this piece even existed. The print that almost never was.

The freshness of morning withdrew in front of the warm rays of the sun. The Wizard of Cirilo Bum and I came to the High Meadow, one beautiful gazebo, where we planned to spend a day off. - Only those who work hard and get their work done, fully enjoy all the pleasure of a vacation - said the wizard Čirilo Bum. I did not answer him, my life plan was to work as little in life, for that reason, I have taught for the wizard at him. By the time we took the time to see the water that emerged from the earth, in the air she created a form of grapes and spirals of various colors that had disappeared in the unknown. The Ghosts of water had fun, trying to show each other their skills. We chose a place on the edge of the High Meadow for our accommodation, where we could watch the landscape: meadows and forests scattered to distant mountains of dark blue. Above us were an old, large yew tree as created to keep us from the strong sun and the negative energy. Below the meadow was stretched by which a dozen young dragons rode along and across, skillfully changed the direction of movement and twisted with their long bodies, they played hunting. Hidden in the crown of a large oak tree near us, pointed snake watched their game with their big green eyes, but I noticed that she quickly dropped into sleep. Then I remember that I did not do some important jobs yesterday, Čirilo Bum will definitely see it when we get home. It spoils my mood a bit, and I pulled out of the baskets a few of the dried sausages that the old wizard worked so well. Full stomach I always better mood. - There are rare opportunities to see the Big Redbeak - suddenly spoke Cirilo Bum - bird right now wants to snatch egg. I stared for a while around so Čirilo Bum says: I said Big. And indeed, I find him so big that several other creatures sought accommodation in his body. Cirilo Bum spent almost all day hovering in the crown of the old yew, napping with a satisfied look on his face. Every time I was constantly tortured by the fact that I would have to listen, a critic of the old wizard, when we come home because of my unsolved tasks. My nervousness I softened so that I ate all the food from the basket. Late in the afternoon, we went home, from the trees they began to descend some new, hitherto unseen beings in search for food or night hideout. Spirit of water was gone, but a good part of the way, perhaps from curiosity, we were followed by other inhabitants of the World of Fantasy, were to me welcome companions, I took my thoughts with them, to the house. A lot of my sketchbooks are empty and lacking color. I got more color pencils last christmas and colored one of my characters with almost every color i had.

A really old drawing I did almost a year ago.
