This is one of 24 small presents for the children of my class. Every day a different child is allowed to open a small package in the shape of a house. There it will find a tiny wooden disc. Each wooden disc was painted with a different animal. The pictures were drawn with acrylic markers. He's on his symbolic Lion, besides the Regal symbolism I always thought the Lion was also because there are more exorcisms in Mark than any other Gospel (When ya think Lions ya think of battles and for him spiritual ones). This is just a little thing I colored, the lineart is NOT mine. I asked my friend what colors I should do for certain things and I think it came together pretty well. The shading is also done by me. I forgot to watermark this one ^^'

I wanted to try a drawing that uses a monochromatic color palette. I found the process to be very enjoyable. It can feel limiting at times, working with only one color of varying shades. Specifically when choosing the amount of shades you're working with. It's also a nice alternative when I can't think of a color scheme that uses different colors.

This is a bit of mixed media here. I used Acrylic paints and Arteza colored pencils. This was my first attempt on trying to be kind of realistic, I think it turned out pretty decent. This is a rendition of a drawing that I did for my mother when I was young. I wanted to redo it to see how it would turn out. I also decided to do it in water color since I have recently been getting very interested in watercolor.

Doing some drawing practice and thought I'd start with a legend. It also served as therapy for the series finale.

The 2nd Glorious Mystery: The Ascension of Jesus. "So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God" (Mk 16:19). Christ is ascending in glory while blessing his people and holding a scroll which represents fulfillment of the old testament and knowledge, Jesus is the source of all knowledge. This "icon" shows also those who did not actually witness the historical ascenscion (St. Paul) because we are called like them to participate in Christ's acenscion. The group represent the Church focused on Christ. The rainbow is of emerald like the book of revelation describes on His second coming because as the angels say, he will return in the same way. And Finally it's Saint Matthew giving a high-five to his Symbolic Angel (Or "human with wings" technically)! I Made it more like a fairy or something, it's not like a mount like the other symbols of the evangelists. So Matthew looks a little more Fatherly because in the Gospel of Matthew the theme of God the Father is the strongest of the gospels (mentioned more times etc.), also it's the only account that gives the account of the Annunciation to St. Joseph and lots of details on St. Joseph, the virginal Father of Jesus on Earth. (I should probably redo St. John since I did the others with more detail, I actually I did that version of St. John a few years ago but I finally decided to color and outline it recently.
