Now that I am stuck at home and practicing social distancing, I finally drew on the postcard I've held onto since joining Doodlers' Anonymous A WHILE ago. :)

This is a graphite pencil drawing of a hunting hawk somewhat loosely based on a photo. The reference photo is from: Birds of Prey by Paul D. Frost (Paragon Books Ltd 2006) and credited to Martin B Withers/FLPA. I found the book in the Goodwill a couple of month ago and was much inspired by the beautiful photographs.

All Done! I’m pretty happy with how it turned out, but a few of the proportions are way off... but oh well. And I absolutely suck at manes(hair) soooo ya. Also I was curious, I’m thinking about getting some prints made of my artwork to sell, do any of you think you or someone you know would be interested in prints? Just curious, thanks! Finally done. For my first Bison, I’d say it’s pretty good. I didn’t really bother with the background or foreground, as you can see. I’d love any suggestions for other projects!

This is my latest project as of March 15th. It was a request from my cousin. It is based off his original photograph. As you can see, i’m just putting the base shade on it. I’ll have to add the details of the fur after the shading is dark enough

The Whooping Crane is an endangered species due to human activity. It is the tallest bird in North America.

I tried using blue again, i like it better when it comes to these types of drawings (eyes, trees, buildings) but i will definitely be using black for creature and animal drawings. Let me know what you think, comment any tips for improvements, or even just to say what you do like about it; feedback is welcome on all my art.

This is what i’m trying to draw but I rushed it and the horse is way out of proportion so i’m restarting it. But here is what it’s mostly going to look like. It’s a big 18 x 24in drawing,

I find backgrounds in paintings challenging so I deliberately tried to make a more complex background with this one. I sometimes have difficulty deciding when to finish and in this case maybe I overworked the background a bit too much. Still, I feel I learned a lot from the process.

This cool frog monster is a master inventor. Here he is riding through town on his homemade motorcycle.

I am not sure which kind of monkey this guy is...he seems to be in the Golden Monkey species. This is another "digital" monkey.

Sea Turtle...and Peppa Pig. This drawing was a gift for a friend of mine who loves Peppa. When I gave it to her, she saw Peppa after looking for only about three seconds. I couldn't believe it.
