"Perhaps one reason we are fascinated by cats is because such a small animal can contain so much independence, dignity, and freedom of spirit.
Unlike the dog, the cat's personality is never bet on a human's. He demands acceptance on his own terms."

Been a busy couple of weeks, school holidays are always a bit tricky to find time. I have been working on some illustrations for a software product that my husband and I are building so I can't share those at this stage but I was back at the gallery today sketching with my new drawing group, I spent most of my time with a bunch of Mesoamerican statues. I am starting to not get so freaked out by people watching me draw :)
I was assigned in art class to draw/paint/whatever something to do with reset... at first I, just like everyone else, pictured a reset button. After some thinking though, I remembered how each time my family moved from state to state, it was like I had a reset button, a fresh new start. Also, haha fun fact, the random sharpie lines were a result from listening to fast pace rock.
This is the 3rd of the 3 glow-in-the-dark space satellite poster series. This concept sketch was done on a digital tablet with pencil setting. Will try to up the finished version tomorrow.
This is my "Plant Abstract" doodle as a fleece blanket (available on Society6 and Threadless). All my art shops are at this link: https://linktr.ee/okhismakingart
