Annette Hanshaw, look her up. She is wonderful!!! Now, I think some people think I'm tryna be rude doing this whole Joker-esque vibe, PLEASE, I'm not. I like and respect Joker (mainly the Mark Hamill one). The music that Annette Hanshaw sings is one that takes me back to a time where we get that nice old soul of old timey goodness, which is what Mr Mark Hamill's portrayal of the Joker made me think of. So, making an older photo of Annette Hanshaw look like the Joker form DC comics, to me, is a cool thing. Yes, I didn't draw the entire thing, this is just me drawing over the picture. My grandma is a craftswoman . She used to work at a Talavera pottery studio and sometimes I would skip school and join her at work. She would give me an imperfect blank pottery piece and lend me her painting supplies so I could create my own art.

I have had an idea for a long time to illustrate Sympathy for the Devil from Rolling Stones.
This start from free sketching of cloud looking lines and soon i realise they look like atom bomb cloud. Original idea was more landscape version but maybe later.
These patterns are all made from drawings pulled from my 2017 sketchbook project. I studied fiber arts in grad school and learned how to do repeat patterns - the old fashioned way by cutting and taping paper together... I haven't done any in 25 years - until this month!
