This is a story seed that I have not yet followed through on, probably won't for a while. I started drawing this mainly so that I could draw those front legs. I think I did pretty well on them, though my shading here needs work
Made with pen, ink pencil and gel pen. Started off as a quick sketch to loosen the cobwebs but turned into a piece that I dived into and developed more of my own style.
Heard about a supposed art fight, got no idea what that is but I brung my sword to the fight..
Also I took advantage of this to try and study the style of @Dominik Mayer, @Artem Chebokha and @Andrew Maleski (once more)
So this character has gone through some crazy character development. I started his design a few years ago, well lets say hes matured and went through puberty. I'm so proud to see how far I have come.
This is a mashup of art styles. I'm not even sure how to describe it. Started with the main mushroom that is outlined and then went crazy around it. Also experimented with water reflections a bit.
Then everything started shrinking. Every piece of furniture became elongated and narrow and disappeared towards the ceiling. There was something crawling under the rag rugs in the hall. It was also narrow and thin and wriggled in the middle, sometimes very quickly and sometimes very slowly.

It has been a delight to share with my students the incredible resource of people. Over the years, I’ve had the great privilege of connecting them with inspiring individuals such as Lois Ehlert, Dave Nice, Gregory Martens, Colette Odya Smith, and—as seen in this “Behind the Professor” sketch—Dr. Gaylund Stone. There’s something powerful about the presence of someone who lives their craft with humility and depth. In moments like these, my students are reminded that more is often caught than taught.
Mostly wet on wet technique and then wet on dry for the white paint. I used a Mont Marte Round 2 brush and Reeves watercolor paint tubes.
Also concocted my very own magic watercolor paint that made the black background somewhat similar to gouache.
I learned this painting from one of the best artists named Maria Raczynska.
"A dark man went on shovelling outside the door and all of a sudden I started to cry and I screamed: I'll bite him! I'll go outside and bite him!
I shouldn't do that, Mummy said. He wouldn't under-stand. She screwed the top on to the bottle of Indian ink and said: what about going home?
Yes, I said.
So we went home."

Going through a mental health journey, and created this fella. This is not the complete image, he will have bat wings and devil horns. I just hit a small wall with some of the layers. But I will have the picture complete when I can. I finally started drawing again after weeks of depression. So excited to see where this fella goes.

I was born into a family of architects and artists, painting and a passion for art have fascinated me all my life, I started with black and white graphics like a forest of books and slowly rolled into color painting. I started with watercolor and watercolor, but then realised I needed a more opaque black and switched to gouache, acrylic and brush pens for the final touches. Most of the original looseness was lost after that, however he looks more accurate now I think.
A week on from Artemis II coming back to Earth from the moon and only now do I do a proper lunar themed tribute to it all! It also gave me an excuse to buy another Palm Pals plush, so happy days to that :-)
