The work was taken by me in Portland, Oregon, USA. In the distance there is a house, a pillar on top of it has a lamp, Looking up at the sky at that time, the sunset sky looked very beautiful. The clumps of clouds drifted with the wind. Beneath the waves crashing against the shore, signaling that the tide has risen, the images in the above work make people always have to worry about the images that look very eye-catching.

Long ago a banana fell into an unknown bay and was washed out to sea. Through strange circumstances this creature evolved into an air breathing, free-swimming, sun loving, epipelagic level dwelling, migratory creature that reproduces by budding. It is rarely seen. If a predator is sensed nearby the animal folds in its fins and tail and if ever observed it is considered a water soaked piece of fruit and is usually avoided.
(Saw a banana lying on the counter and it seemed to be looking at me. A quick photo and some manipulation and art work in Procreate brought forth a Musa Marinus.)
I did not use a reference :/ so yeah that's kind of a problem but it's ok... I used HB for the sketch, 2B for shading, and 4B for the eyebrows and eyelashes. I just noticed that I forgot to put a reflection of the lashes on the eyes...
I used to sketch in my car much more often. I'd go downtown and quick sketch people, scenes--whatever moved the spirit. With this sketch, I got the idea for a series...a what if ordinary moments in life were done in Picasso fashion. In this case, it was a Dad with his two kids. I never pursued the idea any further than a handful of quick sketches, but I wonder, what if I painted Dad with two kids Picasso style? It's still on my bucket list. What about you? A sűrűség bódító leheletében szuszog a figyelmeztetés: ne vágj ki minden fát! Az ember néha mégis, mint megveszekedett fejsze, ide-oda csapkod, pánikol, mert nem találja a megfejthetetlenül göcsörtös mindennapokból a megnyugváshoz vezető, az örömmel járható aszfaltot.

A bit of a departure from my usual style. I wanted to try something a bit messy, fast, and loose. The scene is an ancient woodland in Pembrokeshire called Tŷ Canol, an atmospheric place and full of inspiration for artworks. Pen and watercolour in Seawhite sketchbook.
I started messing about with line and wash. I really enjoyed the speed and looseness of working on this piece. In hindsight, I'm wondering if it would be worth working on a larger, more considered version as there is quite a lot of nice texture that is missing here. Pen & watercolour on watercolour paper (4x6").
