It’s simmering with people ready to spew their most bigoted thoughts in the name of edginess/independence from the norm. Went to see Billy Strings Band live in Philly. Music inspires me so much. Although you might not like bluegrass, it's worth checking these guys out. Great jamming, musicians and show. Anyway even if you hate bluegrass, I hope you like the art that came out of it. I also included the original sketch/doodle. Enjoy. BTW: the song is "While I'm Waiting Here".
What happens when Jimmy is reading Ezekiel in the morning then discovering @themarcuskingband and @billystrings and doodling on the same day? There is no logical reason to throw all this randomness together in one drawing. This stream of consciousness improv drawing can get weird at times. All I can say is if you were in my head 24/7 it would all make perfect sense. I have become comfortably weird.
Remember when Billy Shears showed up to replace him? Nah, me neither. I wasn't going to wreck my record to hear them say it either. I know the prompt was warm colors, sadly if I did the jacket in pink or red it would've been George or Ringo. Anyway, a quick but fun sketch. I took the skulls of monkeys/apes I'd drawn about a year ago and incorporated them into some new collages that include mandalas I did about a month or two ago. Cutting, cutting, cutting, paper everywhere. I'm a huge mess. The second one is Billy / Jigsaw from Saw!

Okay, so, even though I was certainly not born in the times of Showbiz Pizza Place, I am still in love with it. My favorites are Billy Bob, Looney Bird, Rolfe Dewolfe, and Uncle Klunk (but saying that I have favorites makes it look like I don't love them all...). I really wish that Showbiz was able to stay around, just for one birthday... maybe my sweet 16, or something. I dunno. Drawn with FireAlpaca.
My wife just added Slaughterhouse Five to my collection of classic graphic novels. I was making written entry in one of my journals, was circumstantially jumping around to different subjects, and thought of Billy Pilgrim.
