"Retro 1" is a quick freehand drawing I created last year. Size of the original is 9" x 12". I used Posca pens on archival paper. Limited edition prints are available. When I thought of 'outpost', I couldn't help but think about the Star Wars Black Spire outpost! And one of it's familiar buildings as a scratching post! Check out my IG for the rest of my inktober posts (now completed!) @dittofunkysketch123!
Quick ink doodle. Check out my collection page on Vida to find this graphic available on luxury apparel, accessories & housewares (copy/paste): http://bit.ly/2FBXiK2
A boat floats at the center of swirling, vibrant blue waves, creating a sense of motion and energy. The contrast between the warm tones of the boat and the cool hues of the water highlights the image's dynamic composition.
My first foray into oil paints in 2017. This one is inspired by the view from the mountain pass (a road featured several times on Top Gear). Being new to the medium, I had a lot to learn about how it worked. I'm still not sure whether I'm happy with it or not, but I think it would be worth doing again now a few years down the line.
Kitty got a new puppy buddy! Will kitty accept this lil buddy? Only time will tell! Check out the rest of my completed Inktober posts on IG: @dittofunkysketch123 ! Some of these designs are also available on teepublic.com! :D
What a wonderful Kirkus review!
(Paired here with my favorite improper contraction.)
"A thoughtful look at life, in all its beauty and strangeness.
...
This delightfully deadpan musing on life urges compassion for others. Howden’s straightforward text is on the philosophical side, though also rooted in the absurd. Hahn’s spare black graphite pencil watercolor, mostly set against a white background, are imbued with humor and empathy for the pickle, with the foodstuff’s expressive eyes conveying many emotions at once. THE WISE PICKLE
by Sarah Howden ;
illustrated by Sabina Hahn
RELEASE DATE: June 23, 2026
(2B pencil on 140mm x 130mm paper) "They're not flag-waving wannabes, or finger-pointing-blamemongers. They're true British Heroes! They were born with spines of steel, have spunk by the bucketload, and their upper-lips aren't just stiff, they're rock-solid! They're the type who'll kick those mad-dogs aside and proudly march, bare-arsed, into the midday sun!"
My ADHD was in over drive yesterday and couldn't stick to anything I drew. I would make outlines and then draw a new picture. Well after some heavy caffeine intake I was able to color this one.
