I saw this just sitting on a shelf in bookstore, snapped a pic and made a parody, I think the cover art looked nice, outside of that, I've never played it. LOL
Since people put sketches on here, I thought why not. I don’t know, me and my friend are starting a graphic novel type thing for a book we wrote, more to come I think? I don’t know if this will stay because if they see this they may want me to take it down. Oh well. Here we are.
This is another way of working that I really like. Fine liners and chalk (colour) pencils were predominantly used, with a quick smothering of acrylics for her scarf and coarse posca pen marks for the jumper :). About the subject, Handmaid's Tale was one of those rare books that I read more than once growing up and it stayed with me, hence why I decided to draw Margaret Atwood (not seen the series yet though but I hear good things!). I accidentally had her hand cut out while penning the figure - still working on my scale and composition!
Golem. done 2013 with colored pencil and put backgrounds and i did more work to the character in yr 2022 and yr 2023 did some digital thing on it .

It’s like drawing your own coloring page... Though I do realize there are thousands and thousands of books out there that have already have the drawings completed..

"The Marzipan Pig" by Russell Hoban is one of my favorite books. During the pandemic, @pgoedi from @communitybookstore read it and I drew it. Found it again and wanted to share it.
This makes me want to draw live again. It is such a nerve racking thing and so fun!

Tesla ate alone, and phoned in his instructions for the meal in advance. Upon arriving, he was shown to his regular table, where eighteen clean linen napkins would be stacked at his place. As he waited for his meal, he would polish the already gleaming silver and crystal with these squares of linen, gradually amassing a heap of discarded napkins on the table. And when his dishes arrived—served to him not by a waiter but by the maître d’hôtel himself—Tesla would mentally calculate their cubic contents before eating, a strange compulsion he had developed in his childhood and without which he could never enjoy his food.

This is an old piece created as part of a series of illustrations for a poetry book entitled "Fruit and Bones" by Elizabeth Zimmers (Yon) back in 2002. I created this piece yr 2016 as portfolio to get into a company doing sketch card art, but by asking some sketch card artists on this site about how much you get paid for doing this sketch card art`and it was so ridiculous that I decided to not send this portfolio piece to the trading card company also you have to give up your original artwork to the company cuz they need to put this sketch card art in the pack of trading cards so lucky buyer will get the original sketch card that is the idea. For how much they paying the artists for giving up their original art did not make any sense to me .
Done 2016 with color pencil and ink on 2.5 x 3.5 bristol. It is sketch card. Original art $20+s/h and I am open for commission using color pencil or lead pencil for original artwork.
