Books have the power to take you a whole different world :)

This is my first upload. I did a quick sketch of Gale and Katniss from the Hunger Games,. I have been doing sketches of passages from books lately and this is one. This is the scene on the day of the reaping. Gale and she are in the woods. Gale is spreading goat cheese and she Katniss is picking berries.

This is my Favourite Book Shop in the north east of England.

The work was launched on the 5th anniversary of World Reading Day to help people better understand reading.   My artwork is based on the 147-page book "The Sorrow of Books" in simple, harmonious but profound colors. In the picture are the entertainment devices that help relax the everyday human beings that I was inspired by reading. The picture is of the current situation when people are at home trying to prevent COVID 19. We have spent most of our time online, using electronic devices. We have forgotten the presence of books and have made books buried by more advanced things. Recess just got more interesting at Hades Elementary when a new kid starts 2nd grade. The books float, staplers mysteriously attack the bullies, who is this kid and where did they come from?! Yeah......that's all I got. I have had this idea for over a year and just let it sit there. Main Character: Emily New Kid: No clue?!?!?!?!? Sounds like a cheesy manga title lol

My next posts will be the pages of my sketchbooks one by one. I’m starting with sketchbook A which is my most recent one. Each sketchbook drawing will have the “SB” on the title, and they will be posted in order for your enjoyment.

But sometimes I just want to chill in my bedroom to read my books.

Two charms! I love books about Moomins. And these two are very interesting characters! I really like their story. I drew this art about a week ago. It is based on one of the illustrations of the book by Tove Jansson

Terry Pratchett’s books are wonderful

A lot of my sketchbooks are empty and lacking color. I got more color pencils last christmas and colored one of my characters with almost every color i had.

Emperor Palpatine - Egg tempera on panel 9x12. This is my 3rd attempt at egg tempera, and I absolutely love the medium. It is a little tricky to get used too, but it is quite flexible ... despite the textbooks on it that are now over 500 years old.

Here I am practicing drawing guys. These are all guys, believe it or not! I sketched Peter from San Domingo, the Medicine Hat Stallion. In the center is Gale from the Hunger Games. This is one of the ways I imagined he looked from the books. And below him is Hart from the Last Holiday Concert. The only guy I drew full-body was the kid on the right side. I didn’t draw him, however, with any specific character in mind, so I guess I just made him up.

Moomins my moomins! 120 layers of Finnish and Japanese cuties (It's funny, but I took some versions of the characters from the books, and others from the cartoon adaptations. And the Mymble's palette was invented by me hehe). It's been a long time, but I don't regret anything: D

Found this guy in an old pocket sketchbook

Hi everyone, as a freelance photographer, I always choose for myself very close and ancient inspirations. Suddenly I remembered that my grandfather's room was still kept until now, so I took my camera and ran over there. Just like I feel a scene full of classics and peaceful, this is where my grandfather used to read newspapers, magazines, science books and meditate with a cup of tea or coffee. But this room is now locked and vacant because my grandfather passed away 2 years ago. I still often come to this room to clean up and sit down to think and remember the memories of the two grandparents in the past. Memories are so dear and beautiful
