Chromatography is used in chemistry to dissolve a mixture and place it into a "mobile phase," which allows the solvent to carry it and its components up the paper. It shows the layers, exposing deeper, hidden tones and colors, something only seen when a solvent of the same polarity is used. It's odd. Life feels a bit like that, and I'm seeing the colors separate for the first time. It's all there, everything that's been hidden in the inky mess for the past however many years. And now it's smeared. Bold. Clear. But blurry. What's on me and what's on you? Where do we go from here?

Brown ink and watercolour on paper, 4x6". Reference photo from Deviant Art. This is probably the closest I've come yet to the style I'm trying so hard to learn. Being self-taught, I'm very much open to suggestions and advice.
This is a graphite pencil drawing of a conch shell I found on the beach in Florida. I used this sketch as a base for a intaglio print I made. The sketch features the cool textures and forms of the shell in a harsh contrasting light.
I know this isn't an elaborate piece and I know I've posted different cards before, but I just wanted to wish everyone a merry Christmas and happy holidays! know halloween was almost 3 months ago but this is a old drawing i did on November only to not finish it until now featuring Morrison,Vance and Sidney.I just added the words on the left and right and some dots on each corner to make it look less boring (all of my drawings are boring anyway lol)I added Celebrate because not only does it apply to Halloween but Christmas too (where my parents are from,we celebrate it on the 24th on December)I almost forgotten about the teens already since Im almost busy else where or drawing other OC's but Morrison is still difficult to draw nonetheless.In their world there is no trick or treating or candy eating but pulling pranks and scaring the most people to win prizes while dressing up.It was my first time drawing them on a tablet so of course this doesn't look decent.
I found out recently that a good friend of mine's dog passed away. I didn't know how to react so I drew this for her. Ellie was a great dog who loved people and adventures. She's not gone. She's just on a new adventure, making new friends.
