Charcoal and graphite. I drew this while standing in the woods for over an hour. The light kept changing as the sun was going down. Fortunately, I was able to capture some dramatic shadows!

Side note, I only just thought about how cruel I was to drop my nephew off in the arctic circle with only a tee shirt. We'll just say it's the north pole and the magic keeps them warm...
It’s been over 20 years since I was an artist and animator in the video game industry and did art on the computer. I’ve been re-learning digital art since I’ve been stuck in doors during this Covid pandemic, and this is a charcoal piece I just did in Procreate. If you haven’t already tried this mind blowing program, I highly recommend it!
