Meet Lorisnail, my original character for a children’s book. It is a lonely and thoughtful creature that looks like a loris (a small primate that lives in Southeast Asia) and a snail. Needle felted wool on pipe cleaner with paper mache shell.

Treasure - That time when Illario gifted Daenerys with dragon eggs, a gift for her wedding to Khal Drogo. The 3 dragon eggs came in a chest and are rare to find. #25 Christmas Art Contest - I'm pretty sure I drew this in 2023 if I'm not mistaken. It was for a Christmas art contest at magma.com and drawn directly on their website using an iPad pro. And well, although I met all the requirements I didn't place in the top four. The rules stated that we had to pair up with another member from the website art community to draw a Christmas themed picture relating to anything from our childhood. What you see is only half the picture. My project-partner Andy added his portion to the collaboration, but I removed his pen strokes just for my website. That's why on the right side of the picture the Christmas tree and edge appear unfinished.

Pipe Wrench — 16×20, graphite & acrylic accents
The next addition to my growing Tool Series. # 6
A classic pipe wrench rendered with tight line work, layered shading, and subtle grit that brings out every ridge and tooth. I leaned into the industrial personality of the tool—solid, heavy, built for work—and let the shadows do the storytelling. It’s a tribute to the objects that shaped my childhood and still live on in my shop today.
Beginning
Maude was so full of watermelon and sunshine that she needed a nap. Watermelon rind seemed like a very convenient hammock with a side of a snack.

Part of a huge doodle. Started as a doodle while I talked to a friend on the phone. She was one of those non-stop-don't-interupt-me talkers. I got hours of work done while on the phone. It ended up being purchased by our local public gallery for $4,000 bucks. Not bad! And I may use it in a future children's book.
