There are many reference photos for iguanas on the internet. This drawing relies on three difference reference images. The drawing was done with a micron .005 pen and then coloring added with pencils. He was a lot of fun....I think there may be more iguanas or other lizards and reptiles in my future!

I painted one of my cats, Banana, in a cat tunnel. The coloring in the photo was muted, so I worked on color and fabric texture. I am thrilled with her facial expression, and the overall composition feels good. This is not AI nor is any element made from AI.
Dip pen practice with puppies. I moved the puppies around a little in procreate. I tried coloring one with water color (the pink one) and it smeared. So I colored a few with Procreate.
This is a version of the coffee with more coloring. It wasn't until I was already finished that I noticed that I made the top of the cup too round. Oh well.
According to Eric Broug, this is one of the patterns found in the Esrefoglu Mosque in Beysehir, Turkey from 1297 CE. (See: "Islamic Geometric Patterns", E. Broug, 2008, p.37). Now that I have the guide lines in place, up next I'll be erasing them and coloring in the pattern shown here. I think I am going to go with green, blue, purple, and yellow. More to come!
I actually finally got round to framing this piece I did and hanging it up on my wall the other day, which made me really happy :).
Tool used: acrylics, colouring pencils, posca markers on brown A4 card.
